A Silent Equator

with our limbs all a jumble
we do such fearful dancing,

watching every dark corner
for more than just invaders...

we'll embrace all those tremors
but praying for a silent equator

  1. Interesting poem, James. I had to dig deep to try to understand what silent equator might mean. Love the part about the dancing. I can almost hear the drumbeats.

  3. Thank you so much Rachel. I simply adore this piece. It has an 'all over the map' kind of feel to it. Which seems to add to its simple message somehow. Have an awesome weekend!
